Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1. Ice shall be edible, ice nuggets type, delivered fresh in industry standard poly bags as requested by the facility. Ice manufacturing and packaging shall be done under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Ice manufacturing shall meet or exceed state and local regulations, including the regular inspection requirements by any local health authority. Ice shall be produced from filtered water and shall be regularly tested as part of the company’s quality control plan to ensure purity. 1.2. Ice delivery will generally be on a schedule requested by each agency. Agencies may also require special deliveries in certain instances. There shall be no additional charge to the City for special deliveries. The Contractor shall operate on a “route system” with a refrigerated truck whereby each facility’s ice merchandiser (cooler) is fully stocked either on a weekly or twice weekly basis, with past history being the guide for delivery quantities. (Unless other instructions are later provided, Department of Public Works (DPW) merchandisers shall be filled at minimum each week.) All deliveries will be within the City - Marion County, IN. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease delivery quantities at any time without additional charges. 1.3. Contractor shall invoice the City facilities by department for the quantities actually supplied and at the “unit price” quoted for the term of the resulting agreement. Contractor shall invoice departments no more than once per month for prior deliveries.
