Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Provide a Medicare Supplemental Insurance Plan F or Plan G, approved by the State of New Mexico, for qualified County Retirees and/or their spouses eligible for coverage. B. The County will notify the Contractor in advance of a retiree becoming eligible for the Medicare Supplemental Insurance Plan. The Contractor will provide all necessary information about the plan and its costs directly to the retiree by mail; assist the retiree with the complete enrollment process and notify the County of the effective date of coverage and premium costs. C. If this RFP results in a change in provider for this insurance, the successful provider will be required to be on-site at the County at least 30 days prior to the effective date of the change in plan to provide individual assistance to existing participating retirees with the enrollment process. D. The Contractor shall assign an Account Manager to the County to handle enrollment, billing and customer service. E. The Contractor shall provide a monthly, detailed bill to the County including the names of all insured retirees and the premiums due for each, and a total amount due. The Contractor must have the ability to provide split-billing to both the County and Retiree at the request of the County. F. Within thirty (30) days of the date on which the Contractor has received the first completed enrollment form, The Contractor shall send the County a roster bill for all amounts due from the effective date of insurance, indicating for each Retiree covered under the Plan the amount of the premium due. The time period covered by the initial bill will depend upon the timing of the enrollment in relation to the schedule of Payment Due Dates then in effect. G. Billed premiums due to the Contractor for enrolled retirees will be paid by the 25th of each month for the following month. H. Upon receipt of payment from the County, the Contractor shall credit payments to the accounts of Retirees in a timely manner.
