Specifications include, but are not limited to: (A) The Contractor shall exercise reasonable care in handling and sorting abandoned or seized property items to identify: 1. Items in good working order (e.g. fully assembled and intact bicycles, computers, etc.) 2. Essential personal items - Personally Identifiable Information (PII) documents used to establish identification (e.g. birth certificate, passport, state identification card, social security card, driver's license), and Personal Health Information (PHI) documents/items (e.g. health insurance cards, prescription medications, doctor's prescriptions, over the counter medications etc.) 3. Any other items on premises that the purported/apparent owner of the item requests to be held and stored which are not contrary to Paragraphs 10.5. (B) Collection of abandoned or seized property includes the gathering of items for either disposal or storage. 1. Collection also includes, but is not limited to the sorting through of abandoned or seized property and the dismantling and removal of hardened structures left on within State-owned lands or State-controlled lands. 2. The Contractor shall cooperate and work with the State or State designee to ensure that the current pre-enforcement condition of said real property as well as the collection and disposal process is documented in writing and via videotape and/or photographs in order to capture and maintain a record of the location, date and disposition of the subject abandoned or seized property item(s). 3. The Contractor shall exercise reasonable care in collecting, sorting, transporting, storing, and retrieving abandoned or seized property items described in Paragraphs 10.5 herein. (C) Abandoned or seized property subject to disposal includes items: 1. Of a perishable nature including, but not limited to, items that require refrigeration; 2. That are hazardous or otherwise pose a potential risk to the health. safety, or welfare of the public including but not limited to property containing flammable or otherwise hazardous chemicals that could cause illness, fire, explosion, etc.; 3. That are deemed unsuitable storage due to health and safety, including. but not limited to property that is wet, soiled, "sharp" as described in Paragraph 10.5 herein, odorous, contaminated by disease, mold or insect-infested; and 4. Where the apparent/purported owner of the abandoned or seized property requests or consents to disposal
