Specifications include, but are not limited to: Current state The purpose of the Student Mobile App is to provide a centralized, seamless, and intuitive University of Iowa experience that supports student engagement and success on campus through a medium that has become native to current students. The collaborators on this project, including the Division of Student Life, the Office of the Provost, the Office of Strategic Communication, and Information Technology Services, see the potential of creating a cutting-edge digital gateway to the UI for students. The goals of this project are to: Enhance the student experience by providing a centralized mobile portal that facilitates ease of access to resources and research-based experiences for student engagement and success. Provide timely and tailored connections to University of Iowa resources. Communicate key messages to aid student success at Iowa. Establish deep integration into existing University of Iowa systems. Prioritize a simple, intuitive design that can be personalized by users to meet their goals and needs. The application will expand access to critical information, resources, programs, and services, and provide support for multiple goals of the strategic plan. In all aspects of the creation and implementation of the application, diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility goals, values of the institution, and needs of the University's stakeholders will be at the forefront.
