Specifications include, but are not limited to: The goal of this project is to replace the elevated boardwalk system at Laudholm Farm State Park. These improvements will include, but are not limited to, reconstructing ~2,700 linear feet of aging, elevated boardwalk trail, and reconstructing the Laudholm Beach Overlook and Little River Overlook. The reconstructed boardwalk will improve functionality and accessibility of the trail and the structural design will place emphasis on longevity and durability. The new boardwalk system should be durable and easy to maintain in its tidal marine environment. Construction and access will take place within the footprint of the existing trail corridor and emphasis will be placed on preserving trees and limiting damage to vegetation surrounding the trail. Scope of Services - Consultant will meet with the Owner on site to discuss the project objectives, design goals, and areas of concern, including vehicle and equipment access, material selection, and maintenance requirements. Consultant responsibilities will include: • Site assessment, including topographical surveys, wetland delineation and classification and other necessary surveys and testing • Identification and evaluation of applicable federal, state, and local permit requirements • Preparing permitting plan documents, including applications to authorities having jurisdiction over the project. • Attend project permitting meetings • Creating proposed site and material plans • Construction cost estimates • Bid-ready construction documents, including a final cost estimate • Conduct public bidding per State of Maine BGS guidelines • Conduct construction contract administration • Attend all project meetings, as required
