Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. A Phase IA/Phase I – Archaeological Survey report, which must include: i. Full Archaeological Report including title page, table of contents, abstract, introduction, environmental context, geomorphological context, and historical and cultural context. ii. Archaeological Assessment, including a description of the field methods used, the results of the archaeological study and management recommendations. iii. Supporting documents should also be included in the report, such as tables, figures and maps showing the location of the field methods. B. A compact disk or other form of electronic file that includes a copy of all digital photographs taken of the site during construction. C. The Archaeologist of record shall submit a Phase IA/Phase I – Archaeological Survey to the Division with conclusions regarding the site and the date that this was completed. The Division will submit this Phase IA/Phase I – Archaeologic Survey to the Iowa State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) for concurrence. D. The Consultant must include all the information needed for the Division to obtain the Iowa SHPO concurrence of the Phase IA/Phase I – Archaeological Survey. If SHPO provides comments to the Division, the Consultant must timely address those comments until the Iowa SHPO concurrence is obtained.
