Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Mulching Brush and Small Trees at the Chesterville WMA This work consists of 9,261 linear feet of roadside mulching up to 15 feet from either side of the edge of the travel surface of the road. This is equivalent to 6.4 acres. Woody vegetation and tree limbs have grown in from the edges prohibiting proper road management activities. Please refer to Page 12 for aerial map and location. All stems must be severed 6” to 12” above ground and mulched in place. Numerous rocks and boulders will prevent mulching to 6”. Equipment required for this project is an excavator, or tracked or wheeled carrier with a hydraulically- or PTOdriven forestry mulching head. Minimum carrier horsepower must be at least 100 HP and have a minimum hydraulic flow rate of at least 30 gallons per minute (GPM) to the mulching head if hydraulically driven. Road disturbance is to be minimized. B.
