Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Peoria (City) is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to provide engineering services for the 83rd Ave/Peoria Ave/Grand Ave Drainage Improvements project EN00740 (Grand & 83rd Avenue Drainage Improvements). The Project is a partnership between the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (FCDMC) and the City. The contract period is estimated to be three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days from Notice to Proceed to Final Completion. The Consultant, acting under the authority and subject to the approval of the City of Peoria Engineering Director, shall perform all necessary duties and functions required by the City to prepare design concept report (DCR) for the referenced project. The DCR shall be signed and sealed by a registered professional engineer licensed to practice civil engineering in the State of Arizona. The purpose of this project is to study the use and effectiveness of storm water storage in attenuating peak discharges to the Peoria Avenue storm drain system downstream of Grand Avenue and to provide recommendations for improvements targeted at providing protection from the 10-year frequency storm event for residents within the study area. The project includes hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of the study area and proposed improvements using FLO-2D twodimensional flood routing model.
