Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Library currently has an open area of 18 feet x 19 feet to develop with a free-standing structure to define the designated play space. The structure will: - Be tall enough (at least 80 inches high) that adults can walk under without hitting their heads and so the vertical space in the Library is filled in an aesthetically pleasing way. - The play structure must not be taller than 120 inches to avoid interfering with the ceiling lights in the Children’s area of the Library. - Define the play area but be open enough not to impede line of sight. - Fit in the designated area and still maintain a minimum of 36 inches around the outside to be ADA compliant. - Be inclusive and open so children with wheelchairs or other mobility assistance devices can still enter and use the items within. - Contain imaginative play pieces. (Examples: play kitchen, garden, bakery, grocery store, library, stationary vehicle(s) like bookmobile/fire truck/tractor, puppet theater, etc.). The Vendor must include at least one set of imaginative play pieces and may propose additional sets/pieces at an additional cost as an optional item. - Contain versatile features that can be changed periodically to give the space new play parameters (example: the play kitchen pieces could be removed and a grocery store counter and cash register could be installed). The Vendor must include at least one set of imaginative play pieces, and the Vendor may propose additional sets/pieces at an additional cost as an optional item. - Be constructed from high quality materials to withstand daily heavy use, be easily cleanable, and maintain structural integrity. - Contain play pieces built with dimensions suitable for toddler-preschool age children. - Be safe for children (no sharp edges, tripping hazards, etc.)
