Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing concrete reinforcement. Reinforcing steel shall conform to ASTM A615 Grade 60 unless otherwise noted. Shop drawings and mill test reports on reinforcing steel shall be submitted. Steel reinforcement may be stored on site where directed by LES. Concrete and concrete work shall conform to ACI 301. Concrete materials and mixture proportion information shall be submitted. The concrete shall meet the following specifications: 2.3.2.1 Minimum 28-day compressive strength: 4,000 PSI 2.3.2.2 Slump: 4” – 6” 2.3.2.3 Air content: 5% - 7% 2.3.2.4 Maximum coarse aggregate size: 1”; Water-reducing, set-retarding admixtures shall conform to ASTM C 494, Type D, to meet slump requirements and to delay concrete setting. High-range, water-reducing, and set-retarding admixtures shall conform to ASTM C494, Type G, or ASTM C 1017, Type II only with the acceptance of LES. Cement shall conform to ASTM C150 Type I or Type II or ASTM C595 Type 1L. Calcium chloride or any admixture containing chloride ions shall not be used. All anchor bolts will be supplied by LES unless noted otherwise. Contractor shall pick up anchor bolts at the LES Operations Center, 9445 Rokeby Rd, Lincoln, NE. All PVC, smoothwall, and tracewire material will be supplied by LES. Contractor shall pick up PVC material at the LES Operations Center, 9445 Rokeby Rd, Lincoln, NE. The cast iron ring and grate for the transformer containment will be supplied by LES. Ring and grate shall be picked up at the LES Operations Center, 9445 Rokeby Rd, Lincoln, NE. 6-inch diameter, 16-gauge corrugated metal pipe and accessories shall be HEL-COR strip perforated pipe manufactured by Contech Construction Products. Corrosion resistance shall be: Aluminized Steel Type 2. Corrugated metal pipe and accessories shall be obtained by the Contractor. Rigid metallic conduit and elbows will be supplied by LES and shall be picked up at the LES Operations Center, 9445 Rokeby Rd, Lincoln, NE. Containment liner, termination bar, concrete anchors, and fab tape will be supplied by LES and shall be picked up at the LES Operations Center, 9445 Rokeby Rd, Lincoln, NE. 1 The crushed rock for the containment area shall be provided by the Contractor and be Weeping Water, Nebraska crushed limestone, primarily equal in hardness and reasonably uniform color. Crushed rock will be paid on a per ton basis for actual rock delivered. The rock shall be clear and free from any lumps of clay, loam, or organic material and meet the following gradation: • 0-10% retained - 4.0” sieve • 0-20% retained - 3.0” sieve • 10-40% retained - 2.0” sieve • 30-60% retained - 1.5” sieve • 80-100% retained - 1.0” sieve • 90-100% retained - 0.75” sieve
