Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide supervision, labor, materials & equipment for the complete control of the pests as listed for various ISU departments/locations listed in the Line Items tab. Control is to be defined as the elimination of an existing infestation and the prevention of re-infestation (within practical limits). Consideration will be given to amend the contract order(s) if new pest problems require other control measures. The control of rodents, insects and other pests is of the greatest importance since they are hosts to many dangerous pathogens which are capable of causing serious outbreaks of food-borne infections in humans. The presence or signs of their presence in areas where food or equipment is stored, prepared, or served is thus to be considered the lack of effective control of a food service operation.
