Specifications include, but are not limited to: The UT Veterinary Medical Center’s current hybrid medical record system and practice management processes need to be revised to move to a digital eMR system where the medical records and practice management tools are digital, searchable, accessible, and interfaced to optimize patient care, communication, teaching, and research. The current Hospital Information System (HIS) has reached technical end-of-life status. The overall scope of this project includes procuring a Hospital Information System (HIS) with modules including an eMR, Laboratory Information System (LIS), Pharmacy/Inventory/Central Supply modules, Omnicell Supply Cabinet modules, Radiology Information System (RIS), digital image storage and retrieval system (PACS), scheduling/registration modules, Business/Accounting system, Customer Relationship Management system, electronic Whiteboard/Treatment Plan systems, and others. These modules/systems must interface to each other for efficiency and reduce duplication and effort. This RFP will award a contract for the eMR portion of the project.
