The Executive Director is an appointed position that provides the executive leadership, consultation, advice, representation and coordination for the emergency communications 911 call taking and dispatching services for police, fire, rescue, and emergency medical treatment and transport in the Salt Lake Valley. The Executive Director functions under the broad policy direction of the SLVECC Board of Trustees made up of executive leadership from member entities. The Board of Trustees vests in the Executive Director the day-to-day operation, planning, organization, and authority to carry out the policies established by the Board.
