Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1.1. All loops shall be installed under the asphalt and not cut in. Bridges/Culverts shall be milled so that the existing deck is not damaged. 2.1.2. All roads shall be milled 1 1/2βand tacked, receiving a 1.5β (165lbs) avg overlay of Superpave FC-12.5 traffic level C PG76-22. 2.1.3. Any potholes or depressions shall be filled and compacted prior to paving the roadway mainline. 2.1.4. Milled surfaces may be left up to 24 hours as long as they do not exceed 1 mile in length and also have appropriate markings and signage for the travelling public. And have a smooth transition into and out of the milled area (minimum 6 ft transition). 2.1.5. Striping to match existing; if there is a conflict between existing striping and MUTCD or FDOT, FDOT shall prevail. 2.1.6. Striping shall be refreshed on Berkshire Lakes Blvd after loops are installed. 2.1.7. Signal loops shall be installed prior to final lift of asphalt installation and under the final lift of asphalt except on Berkshire Lake Blvd. There shall be no cuts in the final lift of asphalt for signal loops except on Berkshire Lake Blvd. 2.1.8. The contractor shall follow 660-001 for loop installation. (loop windows in asphalt) 2.1.9. Preexisting loops shall be reconnected, new loops shall be pulled to the pull box and an extra 10β of wire shall be coiled in the pull box, to be connected to the cabinet by others. 2.1.10. New Pull boxes shall be installed as far as practical from the travel lanes.
