Specifications include, but are not limited to: complete the annual Cross Connection Survey Report by performing approximately 300 backflow device tests and 130 annual and 5 year cross connection inspections, and subsequent reinspection of violations. Facility backflow and survey data will be documented using web-based OperationWorks software, which will be provided by the Department. The testing and documentation must be completed by December 31, 2023, and the annual report submitted for review and signature, prior to the March 1, 2024 deadline. The backflow services will include managing and scheduling appointments, providing transportation to the testing sites, providing fully calibrated testing equipment, and tools to perform these duties. Additional services may include the recommendation and review of new devices to the system, and surveys of any new or proposed projects that may require backflow prevention; and the training and mentoring of Town employee's in the process of obtaining cross connection survey and backflow testing certification in the State of CT.
