Metro is looking to facility the proper mounting and dismounting of tires on the rim of our non-revenue light duty fleet of vehicles and shop equipment. Our current equipment is past its useful life and does not support the full range of rim sizes we currently have. The rim clamp tire changer machine will need to be capable of handling the tires and rims of both our cutaway paratransit vans and our fleet of non-revenue vehicles and equipment excluding the Case front end loader. Our rim sizes run from 10 inches to 24 inches. Metro is to purchase a rim clamp tire changer machine that can handle the mounting of our full fleet of paratransit vans, non-revenue vehicles excluding the Case front end loader. Our rim sizes run from 10 inches to 24 inches. The rim clamp tire changer machine will have to meet the following specifications. • Support wheels of Alloy and Steel construction for car and light truck • Rim diameter range of 6 inches to 24 inches. • Maximum tire diameter range of 50 inches. • Minimum rim diameter range of 14 inches. • A bead loosening system hand controlled, up to 14 inches wide • Wheel clamping system of 4 clamps, air cylinder operated. • Must have a mount and dismount mechanism. • Bead seating air volume of 5.4 gallons. • Inflation gauge of 0-60psi • Air supply gauge of 0-300psi
