Specifications include, but are not limited to: Coach trucks will be disassembled by Alaska Railroad Corp (ARRC) at the Anchorage Car Shop where parts will be available for pickup. All parts requiring repair are to be returned by the contractor to the ARRC Car Shop following cleaning and inspection. After parts have been repaired they are to be picked up by the contractor and transported to contractor’s shop for final cleaning and painting then returned to the ARRC Anchorage Car Shop for reassembly. The disassembled coach trucks shall include all serviceable parts from two complete trucks. Based on ARRC’s 40 Year Coach Trucks Rebuild Policy, contractor shall provide cleaning, crack inspecting using dye penetration testing, and painting of all truck parts after ARRC inspection and Page 9 of 23 repairs. ARRC will provide all equipment and labor to load/unload the disassembled trucks parts onto contractor’s transport vehicle. Scope of Work: Truck part inspection shall be performed prior to the 40th year of the date of original coach manufacture. This inspection shall be performed in two steps; initially with the trucks removed from the coach and dismantled, and again with the trucks assembled and installed under the coach. Contracted work in this solicitation is for a portion of initial step only, as outlined below.
