Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. 60+ TPP and 2 layers of thermal that extend all the way down the fingers. Vapor Flex™ moisture barrier included. 2. TEX-80 KEVLAR® THREAD-Leathers are sewn with a Tex-80 Kevlar® thread for tensile strength and resistance to abrasion. 3. TEX-80 NOMEX® THREAD- Liner to be sewn with Tex-80 Nomex® thread. 4. NOMEX® KNIT WRIST (as applicable) 5. TOP GRAIN COWHIDE The back of the glove consists of 3.0 oz grain cowhide tanned with silicone and other additives to keep glove soft after wet/dry cycles. 6. REVERSE GRAIN COWHIDE The palm of the glove consists of a 3.0 oz reverse grain cowhide for added grip in both wet and dry conditions and is tanned with silicone and other additives. 7. GOATSKIN FORCHETTES The sides of the 3D fingers (forchettes) consists of 2.0 oz goatskin or similar material. 8. LEATHER REINFORCEMENTS a. The outer reinforcements on the glove must include a knuckle and a palm guard. Both reinforcements should consist of 3.0 oz split cowhide and extend all the way across the width of the hand. b. Glove shall be a 3-dimensional pre-curved design. The back of the hand shall be “soft tanned” 2.5 – 2.75 oz. cowhide full grain with a black 2.75- 3 oz cowhide suede knuckle guard. The palm side shall be black 2.75- 3 oz cowhide suede with a palm strap of the same material from seam to seam, just above the thumb. The fingers on the palm shall roll over to the back of the hand approximately 1” down from the fingertip creating no seams along the top of the fingers. c. Glove shall have full grain 1 oz goatskin forchettes. Thumb shall be “Inset” style, constructed with two panel design allowing full 360-degree rotation. The thumb shall be oriented to allow gripping with the thumb and forefinger to be on the thumb face, and not on the thumb side seam. 9. Protection Back of the glove shall be 5 layers as below (starting from the outside): a. Layer 1 Black 2.75- 3 oz cowhide suede knuckle guard knuckle guard b. Layer 2 Black 2.5 – 2.75 oz. cowhide full grain tanned to remain soft after wetting. c. Layer 3 PTFE moisture barrier d. Layers 4 & 5 9 oz Nomex Interlock knit from fingertip to wrist crease to increase thermal protection for the back of the hand. 10. Liner Retention System - Glove liner utilizes the Liner Loc™ 7-point liner retention system to attach thermal and moisture barriers to each other and to the outer shell. This system allows for full retention of the liner in place and prevents glove liner inversion while maintaining the integrity of the moisture barrier. The moisture barrier shall be permanently bonded to an adhesive tab that is set using both temperature and pressure to adhere the two materials together. Once permanent adherence has been achieved, the tabs shall be sewn to the major seams of the glove outer shell in seven (7) separate locations: a. Across the thumb b. Across the first finger c. Across the middle finger d. Across the pinky finger e. At the wrist under the thumb f. At the outside base of the hand just above the wrist g. The fingers shall be 3-dimensional pattern with roll over fingertips to maximize dexterity and shall be available in cadet sizing
