This inspection will determine all damage caused to the engine by the tree strike and the cost of all parts to repair or replace and return to service. with the intent to award a contract under Utah Procurement Code 63G-6a-1501 for the Purchase of Professional Service Providers and Consultants. The vendor will perform a prop strike teardown inspection on our Continental IO-550-D engine due to a tree strike. This inspection will determine all damage caused to the engine by the tree strike and the cost of all parts to repair or replace and return to service. In the event that after said inspection has been completed and costs have been determined, we would also like a quote on a complete overhaul of said engine. This overhaul includes improving valve train geometry, precision-matched hydraulic lifters, and camshaft. The vendor will do a Volumetric Efficiency Balance and Flow test, Real-time reciprocating and rotational balance, Iron Magnesium phosphate internal corrosion coating, three-axis centerline Crankcase Testing, Cylinder centerline crankcase test, Thrust Velocity load Cell test, Diamond cut, and matched piston ring, Thermally Emissve Electrostatic Gloss Black powder coating, Cryogenic liquid nitrogen stress relieve, Ultrasonic high-speed elocity test, Eddy current electromagnetic induction test, metal surfaces shot peened, multiple angle valves, and seat machining, Inertia supercharging airflow optimization, corrosive and harsh environment protection, high-temperature ceramics, isotropic metal surface finishing, Thermally emissive textured XR matte black powder coating, Limited 10 year workmanship warranty, and Limited warranty prorated T.B.O. coverage.
