Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Assist the City of Chandler (city) government relations staff representing and advocating on behalf of the city with Congress, Executive Office and Agencies, Federal Administrators, and other key staff 2. Represent the interest of the city in legislative and regulatory matters in Washington, D.C., at the direction of government relations staff 3. Actively review and provide analysis on federal policy and program proposals that may have an impact on the city, including federal legislation, executive branch proposals, and proposed and adopted rules and regulations 4. Proactively identify potential funding opportunities for the city 5. Support city in securing federal funding opportunities 6. Assist city staff working with federal and executive agencies as needed 7. Support city in the development and execution of federal objectives as approved by government relations staff 8. Provide city with expanded presence and strategic capacity regarding federal authorities 9. Maintain positive working relationships with members of congress and their staff from both parties, as well as political appointees and other key officials, on behalf of the city 10. Provide regular updates on federal activities as agreed to between consultant and the city 11. Conduct regular meetings as agreed to between consultant and the city 12. Comply with federal reporting requirements relative to activities listed herein
