Specifications include, but are not limited to: Campus Health Services supports and enhances student’s educational experience by providing clinically excellent, affordable and confidential integrated medical, mental, health promotion, and violence prevention services as well as specialized healthcare services to the general University community. The Campus Health Services Offices provides a broad range of medical services including: • Routine primary care and urgent office visits • Gynecological exams • TB skin testing • Laboratory services • Allergy Injections • Immunizations • Travel medicine • Minor suturing and Intravenous fluids • Sexually transmitted infection prevention and testing • Occupational exposure evaluation and treatment including bloodborne pathogens • Workers compensation care for University employees The offices are staffed by two full-time physicians and three primary care nurse practitioners. The health service operates out of two locations: Cardinal Station Health Office on the main campus and the HSC Health Office on the Health Sciences Center campus. The offices are open M-F from 8:30 – 4:30 except for Wednesdays when the health centers open at 10 AM for staff meetings. A provider is on-call after hours for occupational exposures and urgent medical problems. On campus mental health services on both campuses which supplement the main campus counseling center as follows: • Psychiatric services --available at either health center and are co-housed with the health centers sharing waiting rooms and scheduling staff. Currently there is no billing for psychiatric services. • HSC Counseling Center -- Staffed by two psychologists the center provides individual and couples counseling and psychological testing for HSC students in the MD, DMD, Nursing, Nurse Practitioner, Audiology, Speech and graduate students from the HSC campus departments. In addition to primary care and psychiatric services, Campus Health Services also oversees the following programs and services: • Office of Health Promotion -- provides educational program to the campus community on subjects such as healthy cooking, our whole life sexual health training, flash napping and stress resiliency. • PEACC Program -- provides advocacy and educational programs around power based sexual assault, harassment. • BRICC Coalition – industry sponsored educational program to reduce underage high-risk drinking through educational programming.
