Specifications include, but are not limited to: Construction of fish habitat structures and in-channel alignment in the Costilla River within the Valle Vidal Unit of the Carson National Forest. Work will include furnishing & installing large boulders and large tree sections to construct fish habitat structures, creating a low flow channel by excavating and shaping river channel, collecting and installing tree sections onsite, excavating and enhancing fish habitat pools, and filling and shaping sections of existing ponding area to return to more natural stream channel. . Mobilization, general conditions, bonds & insurance, traffic control . Layout staking and as-built surveys . Furnish & deliver large rocks, 2.5-4 ft nominal dimension . Harvest dead-fallen trees from onsite locations, limbing, trimming, transporting to work areas . Excavation & fill in the river channel, shape pools and bars per Engineer’s direction . Construct toe wood/woody debris/rocks and soil fill for riverbank fill areas, including excavation & compacted backfill, CIP . Construct curved rock weir habitat structure, in the river channel bed, incl. excavation & compacted backfill, CIP . Construct rock sill in the river channel bed, incl. excavation & compacted backfill, CIP . Construct large rock deflector habitat structure, including excavation & compacted backfill, CIP
