Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. At Huttonsville Correctional Center and Jail, they recently had two areas in a section of the main sewer pipe that collapsed. The facility was able to repair the two areas. Because it is believed that the existing section of the underground sewer pipe is original to the building and was installed about 1938 and other areas could collapse at any time, the DCR wants the entire section from dorm C building to the manhole that is located outside the north end of the vocational education building replaced with new. The contractor must, but is not limit to, excavation, install gravel, install ten (10”) inch SDR 35 pipe, connect the new sewer pipe with the existing sewer pipe that comes out of the dorm C building, connect the new sewer pipe into an existing manhole by the outside of the north end of the vocational education building, backfill, and relocate the remaining spoils to a location designated by the facility. Below is additional information concerning the project: 1. The existing sewer pipe that is below dorm C is ten (10”) inch metal piping. The existing ten (10”) inch metal sewer pipe comes out of the building approximately four (4’) feet below grade level. 2. Whenever the underground sewer pipe was originally installed, after the ten (10”) inch metal sewer pipe was connected to ten (10”) inch terracotta pipe. The ten (10”) inch terracotta pipe continues underground, going underneath the service entrance loading dock, continuing to, and connected to the manhole located outside the north end of the vocational education building
