Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this quote is to establish a term contract for vehicle disposal towing services for the City and Borough of Juneau (City or CBJ), Juneau Police Department (JPD) as the primary user. For the purposes of this contract, the term vehicle includes, but is not limited to, automobiles, buses, motorhomes, travel trailers, boat trailers, and boats. Vehicle distinctions will be by Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of either less than or greater than 17,500 lbs. JPD will go through the appropriate process to determine how and when to dispose of a vehicle. The Contractor will facilitate disposal of all vehicles utilizing Channel Construction, Skookum Recycling, located at 1721 Anka Street, Juneau Alaska. JPD personnel will specify the brand and model of the vehicle to be towed and disposed of. The Contractor will be available for towing services during normal business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Whenever Contractor services are requested, JPD will complete and submit to the Contractor an “ Impound Report ” or provide other legal documentation for the actual tow, which will become an attachment to the invoice the Contractor submits to JPD/CBJ. 1. Vehicles less than GVWR 17,500 lbs.: The Contractor is required to respond and tow vehicles per conditions of the contract. 2. Vehicles greater than GVWR 17,500 lbs.: All vehicles greater than GVWR 17,500 lbs. will require a written cost estimate and schedule of completion
