Immediately contact the Owner should hazardous materials be suspected. 5. Locate, identify and disconnect and seal or cap off indicated utilities serving buildings and structures to be demolished. Arrange to shut off indicated utilities with utility companies. 6. Remove existing structures and components indicated to be demolished, and dispose of off site in a legal manner. 7. Demolish foundation walls and other below-grade construction within footprint of new construction and extending 5 feet outside new construction. 8. Completely fill below-grade areas and voids with material as indicated in the site civil specifications. 9. Clean, pack, and transport items indicated to be salvaged to the Owner.; Interior Unit Masonry and Mortar 1. Standards: Comply with ACI 530.1/ASCE6/TMS 602. 2. Light Weight Concrete Masonry Units: For non-loadbearing walls only; ASTM C331, 105 pcf, 800 psi, 8” x 16” x width shown unless detailed otherwise. 3. Mortar: Type S, 1800 psi min: Portland cement Type I, ASTM C150; Hydrated Lime: Type S, ASTM C144; Aggregates: Well-graded sand, clean and dry, 10% passing No. 100 sieve; Water: Potable. Provide integral water repellant. 4. Grout: As per ASTM C476, 3000 psi, 8-10” slump: Portland cement Type I; Fine and Course Aggregates: Standard concrete type, ASTM C404, max 3/8”, clean and well graded, free of contaminants. Water: Potable. 5. Accessories as manufactured by H&B, Fort Worth, TX or equal: a. Joint reinforcement: #120 Truss Mesh, hot dipped galvanized, standard weight. b. Flashing: “Mighty-Flash SA, stainless steel Type 304 self-adhered fabric flashing with T-1 Termination bar, ss Type 304. c. Weep holes: #342W/S rectangular plastic. 6. Cleaning Agent: Sure-Klean, VanaTrol, manufactured by ProSoCo Inc. 7. Loose Lintels: Hot-dipped galvanized steel. 8. Reinforcing Bar: Grade 60 steel, deformed. 9. Installation: As per the Brick Institute of America and the National Concrete Masonry Association. 10. Submittals: Product data, samples.; Plastic Trim 1. Section includes: Exterior solid cellular PVC trim and mouldings. 2. Basis of specification: AZEK Trimboards, as manufactured by Vycom Corp, Moosic, PA. 3. Fasteners: stainless steel nails or exterior grade trim head screws, size and spacing as recommended by the Manufacturer 4. Adhesive: All AZEK to AZEK joints to be glued with AZEK adhesive and fastened as per the manufacturer, except expansion joints as recommended by the manufacturer, filled with approved joint sealant. 5. Sealants: For expansion joints use structural sealant as recommended by the manufacturer, sandable and paintable. 6. Installation shall be in strict accordance with the manufacturers written instructions. 7. Warranty: Material: lifetime; Labor: two years.
