Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project consists of 331 street segments and 5 parking lots (see included list). Streets are to be crack sealed with approved material (submittal required). Crack seal material is to meet specifications as outlined in Sandy City Standards and Specifications, Section 02511 (https://www.sandy.utah.gov/395/Standard-Specifications). Cracks are to be clean and dry. Removal of foreign matter and loose particles with compressed air. Overfill cracks and squeegee surface to form a band-aid. Streets with "alligator cracking" are to have all major cracks filled and up to 60% of minor cracks filled. The contractor is to crack seal along edges of waterways, manhole collars, and along edges of asphalt patches when present. When cooled, cracks should be flush with roadway surface, any "sinkers" are to be revisited by the contractor. All streets will be inspected by a Sandy City Public Works inspector for approval. The Contractor is required to provide a traffic control plan and is responsible for all traffic control (signage, devices, etc.) needed for this project. In addition, a work permit is required to work in the City's right-of-way. Submit the traffic control plan as part of the permit requirements (no cost). Note that a separate vehicle with an arrow-board must be used to trail behind the work area to assist with diverting traffic on all arterial roadways (multi-lane roadways).
