Plans and drawings must be approved and accepted by the City of Danville’s Inspection Division. __________ Framing Shelter framework shall allow for a seven foot clearance and be fabricated using 6063-T5 extruded aluminum members. All fasteners shall be aluminum or stainless steel or a combination thereof and shall be tamper proof. Zinc, carbon steel plated or any other non –corrosive fasteners will not be acceptable. __________ Framing members Front header beam All vertical support posts and top and bottom horizontal beams shall be 2.5” x 2.5” x 1/8” thick square aluminum tubes Shall be 2.5” Width x 5” Height __________ Framework Rear wall Wall glazing Roof glazing for roof panels Framework shall be assembled with aluminum fasteners to prevent rusting Actual overall size from outside of post to outside of post for the rear wall to be 139.25”. Shelter shall have two front columns and four rear columns connecting to ground with stainless steel anchors Shall be .25” clear polycarbonate panel without coating Shall be .25” bronze structured polycarbonate Panels Roof configuration shall be hip-shaped polycarbonate structured sheet glazing in a base and cap type of glazing system. Roof structure to be tubular aluminum, similar to wall structure finished to match. Window and roof panels shall be ¼” UV protected clear polycarbonate and secured to the framing structure with special extrusions to provide a safe weather-protective enclosure. Decorative extruded aluminum grillwork shall be attached to framing behind windows. Extrusion shapes shall be engineered to provide adequate structural integrity to satisfy the uniform building code. Roof panels shall be sealed as required to provide a waterproof barrier. Drainage shall be directed to rear of shelter and away from shelter walls. Window panels shall be full height window panels. Polycarbonate panel width is 24.0” (clear area). Two front columns and four rear columns is requested for this bid. Each sidewall shall have two (2) window panel columns. __________ Fascia Fascia shall be one piece of 2 ½” high extruded aluminum with mitered corners, integral self-aligning attachment lip, internal gutter and top and bottom edges rounded for safety. Mitered corners shall be connected at outside corner with a ¼” thick aluminum angled keys and concealed fasteners to prevent twist prior to installation. Self-drilling or self-tapping fasteners shall not be an acceptable method of securing roof assembly to frame. Schedule holder One sidewall panel to include a polycarbonate door section to enclose route and schedule information. Shall be 24” width x 30” vertical with one hinge on side. Locking mechanism to be provided for this panel section. __________ Finish All exposed aluminum component including brackets and anchor boots shall be anodized black finish. __________ Bench Seating Aluminum bench seat with backrest shall be secured to the only to rear wall panel not to sidewall panels. Shall be full length and to have black anodized finish with three (3) anti-vagrant arm rests. Arm rests to have black anodized finish. Grillwork Decorative extruded grillwork shall be mechanically fastened to framing not welded to allow for easy replacement. Shall be diamond pattern and located in upper and lower area of shelter as identified in the drawing. Grillwork design options should be submitted with bid documentation.
