Specifications include, but are not limited to: Insects to be controlled shall include troublesome household pests, which require constant control, including but not limited to roaches, silverfish, spiders, ants, fleas, crickets, and stored product pest. Periodic or seasonal infestation treatments shall occur immediately following notification, by telephone of that need. Rodent control shall include the effective control of rats and mice in all areas as well as perimeter control of burrows on the agency grounds. Termites shall not be included in this contract. If service personnel detect evidence of termite infestation, this should be noted in the monthly report referenced below. The exterminating company shall submit a complete and detailed preliminary report within seven (7) days after award of contract. This report is to be based on a sanitary survey of the agency property by the exterminator and the agency representative. This report shall cover existing sanitary conditions affecting insect and rodent control, and recommendations for steps to be taken by the exterminator and by the agency for maintaining a high level of insect and rodent control within all buildings and on the grounds. Outside perimeter treating shall be done when necessary, during warm weather months and at the direction of the agency. Emphasis shall be placed on entrances, hallways, restrooms, utility rooms, storage areas, exterior doors and vestibules and food service areas if any. The contractor will be required to enter, inspect, and treat (as necessary) all the designated areas of this agency a minimum of once each month. The contractor shall make additional treatments, as such are deemed necessary by the agency. Such service will be rendered promptly (within 12 hours after advice of need of service) when requested. The contractor will on each visit to the agency contact the designated agency representative. All Buildings contractor required to have an agency employee present for access into mechanical rooms.
