Specifications include, but are not limited to: 7.1. Lot Cleaning. Lot cleaning includes, but is not limited to, cutting and removal of weeds, plants, grasses, dead shrubs, and dead trees, or portions thereof; removal of all junk, debris, trash, and litter (both organic and inorganic) on vacant lots or outside of any building. The completed work shall be neat and finished in appearance. 7.2. Vehicle Removal. The contractor is responsible for the removal and proper disposal of designated vehicles from the subject property. This includes removing heavy commercial vehicles with a gross of 19,500 pounds or more. Vehicles must be stored for a minimum of thirty (30) days, and the current title holder must be notified of the storage location in accordance with ARS 28-2001 et seq. Pinal County is not responsible for any fees associated with vehicle storage. 7.3. Appliance Removal. The contractor shall remove and properly dispose of appliances from the subject property. The contractor shall be familiar with and comply with all regulations and applicable laws associated with the proper disposal of household appliances. 7.4. Swimming Pool Abatement. Swimming pool abatement includes but is not limited to, pump-out services, any necessary chemical treatment prior to pump-out, covering, etc. Contractors shall be familiar with and comply with the regulations required, and all pools shall be pumped out in accordance with all laws. 7.5. Auto Parts Removal. Auto parts shall be removed from the subject property and properly disposed of. The contractor shall be familiar with and comply with all regulations and applicable laws associated with properly disposing of auto parts. 7.6. Securing Doorways. Property abatement may require the securing of doorways in abandoned buildings. All work shall comply with the 2018 International Property Maintenance Code board-up guidelines outlined at https://codes.iccsafe.org/content/IPMC2018/appendix-a-boarding-standard. One door in each building shall be boarded up with the “Front Door Detail” with an access door and lock. The door will be the front door of the building unless otherwise designated by Community Development staff. Doorways shall be covered with plywood sheets of a minimum of ½” thickness and secured to the door frame or building with heavy lag bolts or screws. The sheeting will be painted with a paint compatible in color with the building. Payment shall be made at the unit price proposed per door and shall include all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the item. 7.7. Securing Windows. Securing windows in abandoned buildings shall be performed in accordance with the 2018 International Property Maintenance Code board-up guidelines as outlined at https://codes.iccsafe.org/content/IPMC2018/appendix-a-boarding-standard. Window openings shall be covered by plywood a minimum of ½” thick, secured to the window frame or building wall with heavy lag bolts or screws. The sheeting will be painted with a paint compatible in color with the building. Payment will be made at the unit price proposed per window and shall include all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the item.
