Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful bidder will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, materials, and labor to install ten soil gas extraction vents and seven soil gas monitoring probes at the closed East Milan Road Landfill. The City reserves the right to delete or reduce the depth of any proposed gas ventilation wells and gas monitoring probes in accordance with the unit prices in the Bid Form. The scope of work includes: • Mobilization/demobilization; • Communication and coordination with the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBP) for drilling the 6 gas monitoring probes on the FBP property. Work is to be completed in accordance with a Temporary Permit issued to the City by the BOP; • Site work including clearing vegetation and/or trees and preparation of drilling locations to provide access to the proposed soil gas ventilation wells and gas monitoring probe locations; • Site work and drilling including preparing drilling locations, drilling of vents and probes; • Furnish materials and provide labor required for construction of the soil gas ventilation wells and gas monitoring probes including: o Drilling using equipment suitable to reach the required depths; o PVC pipe and fittings; o Solar fan vents for soil gas ventilation wells; o Stone, aggregate, bentonite, and cement mixtures needed for well and probe construction; o Gas monitoring probe casing and caps, and; • Cleanup and any other ancillary work including restoration of all disturbed property on the Bureau of Prisons property to the original condition.
