Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Prospective Contractor shall furnish material and labor, tools, equipment, scaffolding and/or lift for cleaning and recoating of metal roof. 2. Prospective Contractor shall power wash and clean metal roof. 3. Prospective Contractor shall sand rusted areas, scrape loose and peeling paint, and prep roof for painting. 4. The roof must be applied with a primer rust inhibitor that is equal to the performance of Sherwin Williams Pro-Cryl Universal Primer, with the following characteristics: a. Rust inhibitive. b. Corrosion resistant. c. Single component. d. Early moisture resistant. e. Fast dry. f. Lower temperature application of 40 degrees. g. Exterior use. h. For steel, galvanized, and aluminum. 5. Prospective Contractor shall apply a protective coating equal to the performance characteristics of Sherwin Williams Sher-Cryl HPA high performance acrylic. Coating must have a metallic finish compatible with existing shingles. Coating must be: a. Chemical resistant. b. Outstanding humidity resistant. c. Flash rust, early rust resistant. d. Corrosion resistant. e. Fast dry. f. For steel, galvanized, and aluminum. 6. All work must be done within sixty (60) days from time of bid award. 7. The roofing materials must be installed to manufacturer’s specifications, state, county, and city codes. 8. Prospective Contractor shall be responsible for all post-project clean up and disposal of all debris from project site at the end of each work day (including nails and metals). 9. Prospective Contractor shall create construction safety barriers to keep bystanders out of work areas and at a safe distance for the duration of the project. 10. Prospective Contractor shall furnish all tools, materials, equipment, and labor necessary to complete project.
