Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The work of this project will consist of repairs and improvements to Thrushwood Lake Dam. Repairs and improvements are intended to address existing deficiencies and to improve overall dam safety. To achieve the desired improvements, major components of the project will include: 1. Sediment and erosion controls; 2. Site preparation and site demolition; 3. Removing trees on and within 25 feet of the proposed dam limits; 4. Constructing a new spillway using reinforced cast-in-place concrete; 5. Constructing a new left downstream training wall; 6. Repairing the existing downstream masonry walls; 7. Constructing a pervious toe filter at the toe of the left downstream slope and a chimney filter within the left downstream slope; 8. Demolishing the existing concrete boat launch structure on the upstream side of the dam, constructing an angled reinforced concrete headwall on the upstream slope and installing a new slide gate and trash rack on the headwall; 9. Extending the low-level outlet pipe to the new upstream headwall and to the face of the downstream slope; and 10. Restoration of disturbed areas.
