Specifications include, but are not limited to: COUNTY is soliciting proposals for medical and pharmacy services at Clark County Detention Center (CCDC) and Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJS) facilities. There are two (2) categories, Medical and Pharmacy. Clark County reserves the right to award both categories to one Proposer or award each category independently. PROVIDER agrees to organize, conduct and be responsible for a complete medical and dental care delivery system which will render required health care twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, to all Inmates. To the extent deemed necessary by PROVIDER and to the extent possible, provisions of health services may be rendered by PROVIDER to Inmates through a telemedicine networking system. PROVIDER's responsibility as to each Inmate includes: Treatment for injuries incurred by an inmate while in custody of the DSD facilities or NVC; Treatment for any infectious, contagious or communicable disease, which the Inmate contracts while in custody; and Treatment for pre-existing illnesses or injuries will only be the responsibility of the PROVIDER as described in Section X, A. Pre-existing conditions subsequent to arrest will be the responsibility of the PROVIDER. It is the intent for the PROVIDER to make every effort to provide treatment for pre-existing conditions at the CCDC or the NVC facility as part of the CONTRACT and at no additional charge to the county.
