Specifications include, but are not limited to: Mowing & Trimming 1. During growing season, mowing is required. During the off-season, mowing will be requested as needed. 2. Turf/Grass areas must be mowed to a height of not less than two (2) inches to avoid scalping of the grass. 3. Turf/Grass areas inaccessible to mowing machinery must be trimmed as needed to a height consistent with the mowed turf. 4. Mowing and trimming around all fixed objects, including but not limited to grave monuments, curbs, fences, signs, bridges, and trees, must be done carefully so that damage does not occur. Any damages must be reported immediately. 5. Mowers must not be allowed closer than six (6) inches of any monument. 6. The Cemetery Park Sexton or designee will inspect the property after each mowing cycle. Services must be provided until satisfactory. 7. When the grass is not actively growing or needing to be cut, as determined by the Cemetery Park sexton, cycles shall not include mowing or trimming of the turf/grass. 8. All rotary-type mowers must be equipped with skirt guards to restrict foreign objects from being thrown out from the cutting unit enclosures. 9. When a mower of any type is being moved from one site to another under its own power with the mower unit raised, the PTO shaft for the mower unit must be disengaged; Edging 1. Edging of all walkways and curb areas must be performed with an edger with a line diameter no larger than .095 inches. 2. The vendor must string-trim to a consistent height with the adjacent mowed area all structures including, but not limited to, steel edging, rock edging, accent rock, walls, signs, fences, trees, bed edging and any area not accessible by mower.; Trimming 1. Hedges and qualifying shrubs, as identified by the Cemetery Park Sexton, shall be sheared throughout the entire term to maintain a desirable shape and appearance, as determined by the Cemetery Park sexton. ; Soil & Reseeding 1. Soil significantly disturbed by the mowing process shall be returned to its original placement and reseeded if turf was removed. 2. Cleanup 3. The vendor must pick up limbs, litter, and foreign objects before mowing. 4. The vendor must pick up any litter mowed over before leaving the area including mulching, air blowing, raking, and vacuuming. 5. The vendor shall remove debris from storm water area drain(s). Clippings shall not enter the storm drains.
