Specifications include, but are not limited to: Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) is soliciting proposals from a pre-qualified licensed General Contractor to provide construction services for new additions and renovations to Paragon Mills Elementary School. The original school was built in 1965 with an independent addition in 1968 and two connected additions to each completed in 2000 and 2009. The project will consist of six (6) phases, including sitework preparation, a new north wing Pre-K classroom addition that will serve as a storm shelter, a new 2-story south wing to provide a new admin suite, kitchen, cafeteria, new community spaces and classrooms, demolition of the entire 1968 building, a portion of the 1965 building, and selective demolition of the 2009 addition. The 2000 and 2009 addition will receive architectural and life-safety upgrades.
