Specifications include, but are not limited to: Fuel storage tank system – Double-wall fiberglass tank (500 gallon minimum capacity), underground. Must fit in existing tank that is being removed space. Veeder Root TLS-450C plus tank monitoring console with 8" screen, printer, application software, universal sensor module, digital line leak detection base compliance , CDM backup feature, (1) probe with install kit. (or newer model) All essential electrical conduit, conductors, fittings, audio and visual alarms to be included. 3. Simplex STS Packaged Pump set (60 gallon) or equivalent that works with Veeder Root System and Fuel Storage Tank System. Submittals for all major components of the fueling system will be sent to the Owner for approval prior to ordering. Actual product being submitted for approval shall be clearly marked on any cut sheets or catalogs. Drawings showing the equipment to be removed, and the equipment to be installed. Electrical, mechanical and civil drawings that show the entirety of the work to be performed. Drawing should be submitted in a CAD format. Execution – Exterior work Contractor will provide all labor, equipment, demolition, excavation services and appropriate waste removal of the existing residual fuel, steel tank, piping and monitoring equipment. The Contractor will be held responsible for repair any damage to the vault without additional charge to Owner. Contractor will be responsible for the cost of all freight, delivery and damage for the new tank from supplier until it is fully installed in the vault. Current 1000 gallon tank in vault will need to be removed. Lid to vault can be removed and set aside until new 500 gallon double wall fiber glass tank is installed and backfilled. Once new tank is installed and properly anchored, the Contractor will prepare the tank for all necessary pathways out of the vault and into the building. Existing pathways may be used from previous tank if it allows. Once all pathways and work is completed on the fuel tank system, the vault will be filled with granular fill material (such as pea gravel or approved alternate) per the tank manufacturer’s recommendations. All voids must be filled and compacted in lifts not exceeding 12”. Upon completion of work in the vault, the current lid, concrete slab will be placed back on top of the filled in vault. The vault will be protected from rain or wet conditions until such time as the lid is placed. Accommodations will be made to make the lid water-tight by use of a gasket type material (expansion joint) and external caulking. A 60 gallon day tank will be placed inside the building mechanical room. This should be a packaged unit and work with provided Generator Tank. Basis of submittal should be a SIMPLEX STS Package 60 gallon or better. Contractor will provide all materials and labor for proper installation of day tank system. Contractor will be responsible for repairing any damaged grounds around the site and restoration of turf to its original condition. If weather prohibits seeding or sodding, an agreed upon amount will be deducted from the bid on this project for the Owner to do the work or a retainer will be held by the Owner until the work is completed by the Contractor in seasonable weather.
