Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Base Bid includes the replacement of existing traffic signal control cabinet with an ATC control cabinet and complete refurbishment of the existing span wire traffic signal system. The work shall include complete replacement of traffic signal wiring\cabling; traffic signal heads with backplates; and lane use signage. The existing strain poles, foundations, pedestrian countdown signal heads and push buttons shall be reused as part of this project. Bid Alternate 1 – Refurbish Existing Strain Poles: The existing strain poles shall be properly cleaned and prepared to provide a black enamel finish. The work of this bid alternate shall also include all temporary measures to maintain a functional traffic signal system. Bid Alternate 2 – New Strain Poles: The existing strain poles shall be removed and replaced with new strain poles provided with a black enamel finish. The new strain poles shall match the existing strain pole heights and designed to support the span wire signal installation. The new stain poles shall be installed on the existing strain pole foundations. The work of this bid alternate shall also include all temporary measures to maintain a functional traffic signal system.
