Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project is divided into two sub projects: (1) a public lands portion to be completed on Clay WMA and (2) a private lands portion to be completed on the surrounding area of Clay WMA (Attachment D). Both projects will use the following herbicide, 41% concentrate aquatic safe glyphosate. The herbicide will be applied at a rate of 4 quarts per acre at a volume of 5 gallons per acre (which is a solution containing 8.7% active ingredient applied at 5 gallons an acre). Both projects will also require a LI-700 surfactant at a rate of 3.2 ounces per acre. The bidder is required to use the appropriate equipment for herbicide application in a forested setting. The bidder will be required to specify the equipment that they will use, their methods for tracking spray coverage, and will be required to provide an explanation as to the methods they will use to ensure adequate coverage over the spray area (this will need to be included in 5.8-A Executive Summary portion of the bid).
