Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Tennessee’s Institute for American Civics is seeking a vendor to provide external consultancy services. The Tennessee General Assembly authorized and funded the Institute for American Civics (IAC) at the University of Tennessee in 2022. The Howard H. Baker Jr. School of Public Policy and Public Affairs was selected to house and guide its formation. The mission of the IAC is to strengthen civic engagement and combat political polarization by providing a comprehensive civic education that includes America’s founding principles, the economic and political institutions that maintain American democracy, and the basics of civic engagement. The audience for the IAC extends to UTK students, faculty, and staff, as well as Tennesseans statewide. It will accomplish this through university curriculum, engagement activities on and off UT’s campus, guest lectures and events, adult education initiatives, and faculty research. The University of Tennessee is seeking the external consultancy services to assist with the following objectives: The development and execution of a strategic communications plan so that the IAC may be effective in reaching its various and diverse constituent groups and target audiences.
