Specifications include, but are not limited to: Part 1 - Big Ridge #5 Pump Station Improvements consists of the following major work elements: Removal of the following from the existing 8-foot-diameter wetwell: two existing submersible sewage pumps, ductile iron pipes and fittings, and appurtenances; replacement of existing 8-foot-diameter precast concrete wetwell top slab and access hatch; installation of three (3) new 8-inch-diameter drop piping assemblies in existing wetwell; demolition of existing valve vault, piping, and valves; dismantling of existing control panel, awning, and appurtenances; replacement of existing flow meter; replacement/expansion of existing wooden fence and gates; replacement/expansion of existing 15-inch-diameter RCP drain pipe; installation of two (2) new precast concrete headwalls; replacement/expansion of existing asphalt surfaces; installation of new 12-foot-diameter cast-in-place/precast concrete wetwell and valve vault (including access hatches and fall protection safety grating) adjacent to existing pump station; furnishing and installing three (3) new submersible sewage pumps, ductile iron piping and fittings, and appurtenances in new wetwell; furnishing and installing new ductile iron piping and fittings, valves, and appurtenances in new valve vault; furnishing and installing new 10-inch-diameter piping (50+/- L.F.) and fittings, valves, and appurtenances from new valve vault to tie-in point into existing force main; furnishing and installing new control panel, control panel canopy, and appurtenances; furnishing and installing new 12-inch-diameter ductile iron gravity sewer line between existing and new wetwells (including new 12-inch-diameter plug valve and electric actuator); furnishing and installing an inline grinder and associated appurtenances in the existing wetwell at the inlet of the new 12-inch-diameter ductile iron gravity sewer line to be installed between the existing and new wetwells; furnishing and installing diesel-operated backup generator, concrete mounting pad, and appurtenances; removal of select trees adjacent to new pump station site; temporary bypass pumping; and miscellaneous electrical work. Part 2 - ISS Capacity Improvements Creekside Preserve Grinder Pump Station includes providing construction supervision, labor, materials, tools, test equipment, and other activities necessary for the Creekside Preserve Grinder Pump Station as part of the ISS Capacity Improvements consent decree. The proposed collection sewer alignment will include the construction of approximately 60 LF of 8-inch PVC into the pump station and new valves on the existing sanitary sewer downstream. The grinder pump station will be constructed at the intersection of Creekside Preserve Drive and Hamill Road, consisting of a wet well structure, pumps and controls, electrical, site work, and odor control system, and a 2-inch PVC force main pipe tying into the trunk sewer along Hamill Road.
