Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Vacuum must be an upright dry vacuum. 2. Vacuum model that requires no tool for assembly preferred. 3. Vacuum must be a disposable bag model. 4. Vacuum must have a sealed HEPA filter which captures 99.97% of dust allergens. The HEPA filter must be washable and reusable. a. “HEPA Vacuum (745.83) means a vacuum cleaner which has been designed with a high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter as the last filtration stage. The vacuum cleaner must be designed so that all the air drawn into the machine is expelled through the HEPA filter with none of the air leaking past it." 5. The vacuum must have additional accessories for crevices, dusting, and upholstery. 6. The vendor must replace the entire vacuum if any part of the vacuum or accessory is missing, broken, damaged, or has any manufacturer defects. 7. The vendor will train DCHD staff on how to properly assemble, use, maintain, and store vacuums. Acceptable methods of training are DVD, in person demonstration, or via web conference. 8. The approximate annual usage is 100 to 200, which will be based on approved candidates. Quantities are estimated usage only. Quantity may increase or decrease. 9. Vendor must supply specification sheet and brochure with bid. 10. The vacuum must include a complete warranty of at least 2 years that will cover parts and labor. The warranty shall begin on the date of registration of the vacuum by the actual consumer.
