Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Tapestri Platform is the only system capable of simultaneously providing both genotype and phenotype data from the same cell, across thousands of single cells. With DNA as a foundation, their proprietary two-step microfluidic workflow enables the simultaneous detection of analytes, including SNVs, CNVs, and proteins. The two-step workflow includes (1) cell encapsulation and protease incubation allowing access to DNA within individual droplets and (2) barcode addition and target amplification. Dr. Kendell Clement’s lab studies the genetic and epigenetic changes that disease in single cells, develops new technologies to study disease initiation, and translates these findings to better understand how to improve disease diagnosis and treatment. The Tapestri platform will allow the Clement lab to analyze DNA and protein expression simultaneously in single cells for true multi-omic insight for unraveling the cellular complexity. This platform utilizes a novel two-step microfluidic workflow to access DNA and protein in single cells for true multi-omics. Each reaction in the two-step workflow is discretely optimized: isolation of DNA from the cell and oligo-conjugate antibodies in the first step, followed by targeted multiplex PCR in the second step.
