Specifications include, but are not limited to: Advanced Metering System to replace its aging water meters and improve customer service, data accuracy, and operational efficiency. The Advanced Metering System will consist of field- deployed infrastructure, including water meters, endpoints, collectors, and a Head End System (HES) to receive and manage data. The system should provide interval readings at least once per hour per meter and include a Data Analytics System to maximize the value of the collected data. The City of Germantown is interested in additional functionality such as: • Tamper alarms • Customer-side leak detection • Future development for: o Temperature o Pressure o Acoustic o Water quality monitoring The proposed Advanced Metering System should have close integration and synchronization with City of Germantown's systems such as: • Customer Information System (CIS) • Asset management • GIS • Work order management • SCADA The City of Germantown's project objectives include: • Reducing costs for the utility • Increasing revenue • Improving customer relations • Addressing aging infrastructure • Promoting effective water management and conservation
