Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. General Requirements - All work not listed below required for successful completion of this project, including but not necessarily limited to: i. Project Planning and Coordination with Owner and Site Personnel ii. Necessary Work Platform / Scaffolding iii. Mobilization / Demobilization iv. Risk and Liability Insurance v. Performance and Payment Bonds vi. General Conditions vii. Overhead viii. Profit ix. Construction Sequencing Plan so as not to disrupt plant operations Due to the facility plant operation limitations (i.e., taking structures or portions of the structures out of service), a mobilization and sequencing plan shall be developed in conjunction with selected restoration contractor prior to construction (concrete repairs, application of coatings, etc.) and submitted for review. Most repairs can be done from the exterior to limit disruptions in the plant's daily operations. Repairs and/or rehabilitation items that would involve taking the structures partially or completely out of service include active leaking expansion joints and application of interior coatings. x. Consideration of cost, advantages/disadvantages, construction constraints and requirements. xi. Consideration of construction time, as well as necessity to take structures or portions of the structures. xii. Debris from the construction process is to be contained and mitigated from entering the open systems. 2. Concrete Repair - Vertical and Overhead Surfaces i. Remove existing concrete surface finish, if applicable. ii. Sound concrete surfaces and mark for repair. iii. Allow Engineer to review all areas marked for repair. iv. Repair concrete delaminated areas, spalls, cracked and exposed metals in vertical and overhead concrete surfaces following ICRI guidelines. 3. Concrete Repair - Horizontal Surface i. Remove existing concrete surface finish, if applicable. ii. Sound concrete surfaces and mark for repair. iii. Allow Engineer to review all areas marked for repair. iv. Repair concrete delaminated areas, spalls, cracked and exposed metals in horizontal concrete surfaces following ICRI guidelines. 4. Expansion joint repairs: Wabo Jeene ® Expansion Joint System by Watson Bowman Acme, BASF MasterSeal® NP 2™multicomponent polyurethane sealant over backer rod.
