Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Pickup Service The Contractor shall provide solid waste collection and disposal services for all existing containers at the locations specified in Appendix B: Term/Schedule of Work, Section II, Locations and Schedule of Pick Up per pickup call. If required, the Contractor shall manually remove front loading solid waste bin in a safe manner from enclosure and position it in a safe location for pick up by front loading apparatus and return to enclosure. For locations where the containers are not directly accessible by the Contractor’s vehicle, the Contractor’s attendant or driver shall physically roll out the solid waste container to an accessible area, unload the container, and replace the container back to its original position; the Contractor shall ensure that the cover of the container is closed prior to leaving the site. The Contractor shall provide solid waste pickup services in accordance with Appendix B: Term/Schedule of Work, Section II, Locations and Schedule of Pick Up. 1. Construction Materials and/or Bulky Items The Contractor shall immediately notify City personnel of any construction materials and/or bulky items that have been dumped into the solid waste containers. Approval must be obtained from the City before emptying the container(s). The Contractor shall contact Janet Murakami at (808) 768-3376 or jmurakami1@honolulu.gov or an authorized representative to obtain the aforementioned approval. The Contractor shall also include on the Service Receipt, as specified in Appendix A: Scope of Work, Section III(D), Service Receipts below, the date and name of the person authorizing such removal. Any overage charges shall obtain approval from the City’s Officer-in-Charge (OIC) or authorized representative with proper supporting documents, such as a dated photograph(s), prior to any charges to the City. It will be at the OIC’s or authorized representative’s discretion to accept or deny any charges. B. Leasing of Containers The monthly lease price per container shall be according to the unit price in Appendix C: Pricing/Certifications.
