Specifications include, but are not limited to: Via its Head Start (HS) grants, Maricopa County Human Services Department (MCHSD) is seeking to contract with qualified Center Based Child Care Providers to provide Head Start childcare services to Early Head Start eligible children ages 0 to 3 years old, and/or Head Start eligible children ages 3 to 5 years old. Providers shall be able to provide full-day classrooms in targeted areas identified as high need in the County, excluding the City of Phoenix, Arizona. (Targeted communities include Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Avondale, Glendale, Surprise, Peoria, and Buckeye). Providers shall establish HS programs that are full-day (10 hours per day Monday through Friday) and year-round (minimum of 48 weeks per year) in their facilities.
