Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Field phone calls and correspondence from grant seekers. • Identify qualified and appropriate applicants. • Make selected organizations aware of grant-making guidelines and priorities through two (2) grant information sessions. • Receive and review all grant requests. • Make site visits when appropriate to examine program concepts or agency capabilities. • Maintain a database of all grant requests, grant awards and statuses. • Assist grantees individually in developing and refining their grant requests. • Handle all online support inquiries from interested applicants. • Verify eligibility of each applicant including verifying 501(c)3 status. • Prepare grant applications for review in a secure online environment. • Prepare written grant recommendations for the Board of Commissioners. • Prepare and send award letters (including formal agreement terms, payment schedule and reporting procedures) and notify those whose proposals are denied. • Maintain accurate files for grants awarded and payable. • Process and verify grant payments. • Maintain a grant reporting schedule. • Notify grantees of the need to submit reports. • Monitor progress of major grants and make site visits when required. • Report on any deviations in grant use, problems, or recommendations for termination because of misuse of grant funds. • Provide technical assistance and/or troubleshooting on grants experiencing difficulty. • Have the capacity to hold the program funding which can be in the amount of $0- 500,000+.
