Specifications include, but are not limited to: Location A – Strafford Road (TH 01) • Repairs needed before November 1st, 2023 • No properties located along this section • Old bridge needs to be removed, debris hauled away and new bridge put in place. • Prefabricated culvert will be on site to install. Contractors shall provide design-build services to complete this work. This will include design and permitting, as well as furnishing the labor, material and equipment necessary to repair the bridge and reconstruct the roadway in accordance with Town Road & Bridge Standards. Proposals shall, at a minimum, accomplish the following Minimum Scope of Work: 1. Inspect the damages and prepare design to address the identified problem. 2. Develop a detailed cost estimate. 3. Obtain the necessary permits and authorizations (flood permit, stream alteration, stormwater, right-of-way, etc.) 4. Dispose of all waste from the old bridge as appropriate 5. Repair or replace structures and reconstruct roadway with fill, base materials and gravel surface, and including all necessary culverts, ditches, side slopes and guardrails in order to meet Town Road & Bridge Standards (see attached) 6. Follow all state requirements for temporary erosion control during construction activities. 7. Provide adequate bank stabilization in order to avoid future erosion.
