The existing asphalt court surface will be removed (Mill) the full width of the courts, installation of seven (7) 24” X 24” trenches, install 6” corrugated under drainpipe, install filter fabric and coarse aggregate. New 6 inches of base coarse (limerock) is to be installed and properly compacted, existing base shall be removed and disposed of. The new underdrain pipe shall be connected to the existing drainage system with a purpose of improving the overall drainage conditions of the sport courts, as detailed in the construction plans provided by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. Install new asphalt overlay a total of 1,455 (SY) estimated square yard area at Burnsed Recreation Center tennis courts. Installing 1,059 estimated linear feet of underdrain pipes, connections, fittings, etc. Asphalt Surface Course: The low volume surface / wearing course shall be installed uniformly, to all finished lines and grades, smooth, durable, impervious thus protecting lower layers, and stable. Workmanship of the finished surface course shall be of the highest industry standards (ASBA references) and applicable to sports surfaces prior to acceptance by the District. The surface course shall be built with fine-graded, 1/2” maximum aggregate particle size (Nominal Maximum Aggregate Size of 3/8”) or smaller. The existing asphalt court surface will be removed (Mill) the full width of the courts, installation of eighteen (18) 24” X 24” trenches, install 6” corrugated under drainpipe, install filter fabric and coarse aggregate. New 6 inches of base coarse (limerock) is to be installed and properly compacted, existing base shall be removed and disposed of. The new underdrain pipe shall be connected to the existing drainage system with a purpose of improving the overall drainage conditions of the sport courts, as detailed in the construction plans provided by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.
