Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of the project is to modernize LMS to streamline processing, eliminate duplicated data, and add new functionality. The purpose is not to “throw the baby out with the bathwater” – LMS works! However, it needs to be brought up to current IT standards and be more user friendly – both for NDSL employees and NDSL customers. NDSL desires to add functionality including creating a portal to enable applicants to submit applications online, track their projects as they go through permit milestones, and pay fees online. The functionality will need to validate applicant-submitted data and integrate that data into NDSL projects and authorizations. NDSL also desires to take LMS “on the road”, accessing its data and submitting property inspection information from the field. The project should also add user features such as dashboards, notices and alerts, validation routines, integration of portfolio functions, and individual preference settings.
